European Water Partnership (EWP)
WfWP and EWP have expressed mutual interest to cooperate as part of the initiated Aquawareness Programme. This programme is a response to the water challenges identified by the European Commission in its communication on water scarcity and droughts and the reaction of the European Environmental Council. Aquawareness will be a stakeholder driven programme with an independent governance structure in which the strategic partners will play a prominent role. More about Aquawareness
- International Water Association (IWA)
With IWA WfWP has a Strategic Partnership with the focus to encourage the full and equal participation of women in all aspects of integrated water resource.
- UNESCO-IHE
The focus of the Strategic Partnership with UNESCO IHE is: jointly enhance women’s participation in achieving sustainable livelihoods.
- Social and Economic Empowerment of Women Alliance (SEEWA)
With WASTE and the Symbeyond Research Group WfWP forms the Social and Economic Empowerment of Women Alliance (SEEWA). This is an alliance to jointly continue their contribution to 'modern' development cooperation.

Other partnerships and alliances
- Gender Concerns International (GCI)

GCI is an international development organisation striving for gender balance in society. When, in 2010, Pakistan and the region were hit by terrible floods, GCI and the Pakistani-Dutch community started a People to People flood relief fundraising initiative. The donations being channeled through women’s organizations working on the ground in the affected area’s, Women for Water joined the People to People initiative in an effort to support their work.
