Working Conferences
The practical formulation of projects takes place in WfWP Working Conferences at international and national level with the use of the Dynamic Networking Methodology.
During interactive working sessions women’s organisations present their cases and together with invited experts from the water sector, from the field of development cooperation, science & technology institutes, (local) business community and relevant government agencies formulate concrete project proposals. The assessment of the appropriate level of implementation and the identification of opportunities are part and parcel of the project preparation process.
With all relevant stakeholders present, the Working Conference provides an opportunity to share valuable information between partners in the development process on how to handle this type of (smaller) projects. Furthermore there are round table discussions and interactive sessions on emerging issues and overarching themes such as financing for development, up-scaling of successful pilots and partnerships.
The outcomes feed into the major international IWRM, WASH and WATSAN fora such as the World Water Fora, the United Nations Commission on Sustainable Development etc.
