Small Grants scheme
WfWP's Small Grants scheme is an empowerment tool that enables grassroots women’s groups to acquire the knowledge, capacity and backing they need in order to: decide for themselves, share experiences, express their ideas and concerns and develope strategic approaches to their own development issues that will improve their socio-economic conditions.
As from 2012, the following grants are available to member organisations in order for them to develop their capacity, build up their organisation, gain experience and do the needed preparatory work to come to sustainable project proposals ready for implementation:

The fund for Capacity Development can be used for attending courses and other means to improve knowledge and skills on the themes, on lobby and advocacy, fundraising and/or on how to organise your organisation |

| Exchange visits |

| How much? |
€ 5,250 per visit |
| How many? |
4 Mutually beneficial exchange visits per calendar year (8 member organisations involved) during three days, with a maximum of 4 persons traveling per exchange |
| What for? |
The fund for Exchange Visit can be used for visits of one member organisation to another member organisation which can give input and information to review and improve the own organisation, projects or working methods |
Please note that the information given is foreseen to be applicable from 2012 onwards (approval pending). There were no grants available in 2011. An overview of grants awarded to WfWP members from 2006 to 2010 is available below.
