
WfWP newest membership: Global Water Challange (GWC)
This month Women for Water Partnership (WfWP) became member of Global Water Challenge (GWC). Founded in 2006, Global Water Challenge is a nonprofit coalition of leading organizations committed to addressing water and sanitation issues on a global scale. GWC is committed to improving the long-term impact of investments in the sector by working with its members and other partners to identify and share important lessons and best practices. It is a platform for collaboration that unites corporations, implementing nonprofits, research institutes, and governmental agencies in partnerships that leverage their unique resources and expertise.
Statement from Global Water Challenge CEO Monica Ellis: "We are very excited to have the Women for Water Partnership (WfWP) as the newest member of Global Water Challenge. The WfWP brings not only a tremendous network of local, national and international women’s organizations, but also invaluable leadership on the importance of women-led development. Women are disproportionately affected by the water and sanitation crisis.
