Budapest Water Summit
The Budapest Water Summit will take place from 28-30 November 2016- it serves as a platform for discussion for heads of state and other stakeholders from all over the world. It is the first Budapest Water Summit to host a Women’s Forum. Women for Water Partnership co-organised this event which focusses on the interconnections between Sustainable Development Goal 5 (achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls) and 6 (ensure availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all). Evaluation projects Uganda & Tanzania are in!
"Ground-breaking: the people are now agreeing to pay for water, as historically water supply was seen as a ‘free right". This is one of the statements made by the independent evaluator who evaluated two projects of WfWP members Tegemeo Women Group in Tanzania and Katosi Women Development Trust in Uganda. Read more

Saturday November 19th is World Toilet Day. It is the day we raise awareness and inspire action to tackle the global sanitation crisis – a topic often neglected and shrouded in taboos.
