Milestones
The Dutch VAM foundation supports and promotes emancipation, gender equity and economic independence for women in particular. The expertise and methods used are widely recognized as one of the most successful in terms of women acquiring job qualifications and entering the labour market.
VAM specializes in made-to-measure vocational training for (especially) women in the fields of inter alia computer maintenance and services, entrepreneurship, management by water committees and maintenance of water pumps, plumbing, carpentry, building, agriculture, etc. Currently VAM is assisting in projects or monitoring projects in e.g. Amsterdam, Suriname (South America) and Mali.
